A 4WD allegedly stolen a month ago has turned up following a horrific collision in Skye.

Emergency services were called to Ballarto Rd about 9pm on September 7 following after a Ford Ranger allegedly ran a red light and collided with an oncoming car.

It’s believed two men — described as caucasian — allegedly fled the scene on foot in the direction of Maraline Rd.

The 49-year-old driver of the car was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries while her passenger was not injured.

It is alleged the Ranger was taken during an aggravated burglary in Somerville on July 25.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit an online report.
