A person has been rushed to hospital following a truck smash in Melbourne’s southeast on Friday morning.

Emergency services were called to the collision on the EastLink-Peninsula Link in Carrum Downs at 9.05am on August 30, where one person was treated by paramedics and later rushed to the Frankston Hospital.

The left lane of the Frankston-bound side of the freeway has been closed, just before the Peninsula Link exit, leaving one lane open.

The remaining open lane is under the direction of emergency services.

Drivers have been urged to “remain patient and merge early”, or to consider using the Thompsons Rd and Mornington Peninsula Fwy or Frankston-Dandenong Rd as an alternative.

Victoria Police and Fire Rescue Victoria have been contacted for comment.

More to come.
