A pedestrian hit by a car in Melbourne’s southeast remains in hospital in a critical condition.
The man had been crossing the Princes Highway at a set of traffic lights at the Elenora and Chandler Rd intersection, when he was struck by a silver Mazda sedan around 11am on Monday.
Police and paramedics attended the accident outside McDonalds in Noble Park.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said the man was rushed to The Alfred hospital in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.
An update from The Alfred said the man was in a critical but stable condition.
The man is yet to be identified.
The driver of the car stopped at the scene immediately after the collision.
