Shepparton crash: Man killed in Undera crash, another taken to hospital
A young man from Melbourne’s northern suburbs was killed in a horrific smash after two cars collided in a small town near Shepparton on Monday morning.

A young Fawkner man was killed in a horrific smash northwest of Shepparton on Monday.
The 27-year-old died at the scene after his car collided with another vehicle in Undera.
The other driver, a man believed to be in his 70s, was taken to Goulburn Valley Health in a stable condition with upper body injuries.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Tatura-Undera Rd and Lancaster-Mooroopna Rd in Undera after two cars collided just after 10.30am.
One of the vehicles involved in the collision appeared to have flipped over onto its roof.
Both men were the sole occupants in the two cars.
It’s also believed the older man who was taken to hospital was the occupant of the black car that flipped onto its roof.
“Head on collision along Lancaster road at the tat intersection. Detours in place, as police had blocked the roads. One car is on its roof../ looks pretty nasty,” Facebook user Kellie Baxter posted to a Kyabram community Facebook group.
“The occupant in the vehicle on its roof is OK and in hospital as we speak his family are with him. So sorry to hear someone passed away” Hayden Sharman, who is the son-in-law of the man in hospital, commented.
The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are being investigated.
One GAME traffic and contracting vehicle was called to the scene and authorities closed off the intersection on Lancaster-Mooroopna Rd and Echuca Rd, just up the road from the crash.
This comes after a teenager died following a horror smash in Locksley last week.
This takes the road toll to 156.
Police have also urged motorists to avoid the area and take alternative routes.
Emergency service remained on scene to assist with the incident.
