Police appeal for help after aggravated carjacking in Deer Park

Vision has emerged of an alleged carjacking in Deer Park, where two men allegedly approached a man’s car while he was sleeping and assaulted him, before one allegedly pulled out a gun.

A man who had fallen asleep in his car while parked in Deer Park was allegedly woken by two men who screamed “Where are your keys” before one allegedly pulled out a gun.

Investigators believe two unknown men approached the male victim while he was parked on Davitt Drive in Deer Park in February this year.

Police believe the victim had fallen asleep in his vehicle about 1am when two men awoke him.

It’s alleged the unknown offenders repeatedly punched the victim in the face while yelling, “Where are your keys?” at him.

Police say the victim got out of his car before falling onto his driveway.

One of the men then allegedly produced a gun and threatened the victim.

The victim is believed to have fled the scene while the two men allegedly stole his car

The stolen car was located in Diggers Rest a few hours later.

The two men have also been seen in a 2008-2014 Black Ford FG G6 Falcon and a 2006-2010 Silver BMW Series 5 E60.

Both men are about 20 to 30 years old and of Arab/Middle Eastern appearance.
