Yea crash: Man flown to hospital after Melba Highway crash
A man was trapped in his car for 30 minutes after a collision between a semi-trailer, horse truck and ute in Yea.

A man has been flown to hospital after he was left trapped in his car following a crash between a horse truck, semi-trailer and ute in Yea, north east of Melbourne.
A Victoria Police spokeswoman said it was believed three vehicles travelling in the northbound lane of the Melba Highway were involved in a collision near Meadow Rd about 7.45am, Monday November 8.
She said the driver of a ute, a 28-year-old Grantville man, was trapped in his vehicle for about 30 minutes.
He was flown to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the horse truck, a 64-year-old Gruyere man, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the semi-trailer, a man in his 20s, was uninjured.
“Fortunately, the horse truck was not transporting livestock at the time of the collision,” the spokeswoman said.
The Melba Highway has just reopened to traffic.
