Wantirna woman Elizabeth Marsh missing, family desperate to make contact

The sister of Wantirna woman Elizabeth Marsh, who was last seen leaving Maroondah Hospital 18 months months ago, is urging her sibling to make contact as her family is desperate to know she is OK.

The family of a Wantirna woman who has been missing for 18 months is urging her to make contact.

Police have released another appeal for help to find Elizabeth Marsh, 41, who was last seen leaving Maroondah Hospital about 9.30am on Thursday, October 11, 2018.

Sergeant Cameron Scott said police and family had serious concerns for the missing woman’s welfare because of a medical condition.

Elder sister Lorraine Marsh said her family was desperate to know Elizabeth was safe and well.

“We just want to know if she’s safe and OK,” she said.

She said the family live in fear every time a woman around her sister’s age is found dead.

“It’s a rollercoaster,” Ms Marsh said.

Ms Marsh said Elizabeth grew up in Wantirna, where the sisters’ parents live, and went to Vermont Secondary College.

She said Elizabeth had been living in Heathmont before she went missing.

“She had issues in her life, which caused her to become distressed and we were hopeful of getting her support around that,” Ms Marsh said.

“We’re desperate to know she’s OK and well and we’d like to make contact.”

Ms Marsh said her sister was the youngest of four sibling sand was very clever and funny, with a quirky personality.

“It’s very sad really,” she said.

“We miss her and we worry about her, and want her to be safe and well.”

Sgt Scott said Elizabeth was believed to have no access to money and before she went missing often visited libraries in Doncaster, Ringwood, Croydon, Knox and Ferntree Gully.

Police also understand she was often at the Knox Community Garden and Vineyards.

He described her as 165cm, with a thin build, brown shoulder-length hair and brown eyes.

Anyone who sees Elizabeth or has information on her whereabouts is urged to phone Ringwood police station on 9871 3000.
