Ringwood crime: Ashley Gardiner accused of credit card and Chirnside Park thefts
An alleged lolly fiend is facing the heat, accused of racking up hundreds of dollars on a stolen credit card in Ringwood.

A man is being accused of racking up almost $300 in lollies, cigarettes and junk food on a stolen credit card after nicking a man’s wallet in Ringwood.
Ashley Gardiner, 35, will front the Ringwood Magistrates’ Court on almost 30 charges including dishonestly obtaining property by deception and committing theft while on bail, for a guilty plea hearing on June 15.
Court documents reveal Mr Gardiner is charged with stealing a man’s wallet on April 24, and, over two days, gone on a shopping spree.
He is accused of visiting a Coles Express on several occasions and buying items including an Optus starter kit, Cheezels, a Thai beef wrap, Cadbury chocolate blocks, Mars Bars, Cherry Ripes, Allens Snakes and Killer Pythons, a banana, a cigarette lighter and several packets of cigarettes.
A few weeks later it is alleged he was caught in Thomastown with methyl amphetamine on May 18.
Court documents reveal his charges also include thefts that happened late last year.
Mr Gardiner is alleged to have been caught driving unlicenced in Mangan Rd, Lilydale on October 21, 2020.
According to court documents he is also accused of stealing a $45 bottle of tequila from Liquorland, and also a pair of denim shorts from Target at Chirnside Park on November 26.
Mr Gardiner is listed to appear at the Ringwood Magistrates’ Court later this month.
