LILLYDALE LAKE
435 Swansea Rd
Lillydale Lake is truly a wonderful spot for a walk, with 10km of shared trail.
There is also a great playground, including a splash pad for water activities and a double flying fox, along with accessible bathrooms.
TARRALLA CREEK TRAIL
6-16 Tarnagulla Rd Croydon South
The perfect spot to enjoy a stroll with you bub, the shared path runs for 5.5km from Hewish Rd to Dandenong Creek.
According to Maroondah Council, there is also access to a small playground across the road from Tarralla Creek Reserve on Tarnagulla Rd.
LAKEWOOD RESERVE
Burwood Highway, Wantirna South
Visitors can enjoy beautiful lakeside views while walking through this popular reserve, which is close to Westfield Knox Shopping Centre. The man-made lake attracts birds and wildlife with nearby bushland to explore.
SHERBROOKE FALLS WALK AND PICNIC AREA
School Rd, Tremont
Although not all trails in the area are pram-friendly, there are a number of tracks you can explore from the Sherbrooke Picnic Ground with your bub in tow, including The Margaret Lester forest walk.
You can even say hi to the cockatoos and if you’re lucky, a lyrebird, while you’re there.
MAROONDAH RESERVOIR PARK
Maroondah Highway, Healesville
Although very hilly in parts, the Maroondah Dam is a spectacular spot for a walk, with several trails to explore, and rotunda areas for picnics. According to Parks Victoria, the walk along the dam wall is accessible, but views of the dam are limited if seated in a wheelchair or stroller, due to the dam’s concrete safety barrier. There’s also a children’s playground.
