GOOD business runs in the family at Micheli’s Pizza, Pasta and Grill in Ringwood, where you’re guaranteed a pizza “like no other”.
Melissa Micheli, 21, and her three brothers, David, Mark and Alex have run the business together since October 2013.
Almost all of their family, including cousins and partners, work at the business, which has a focus on customer service and a unique style of pizza.
They say an explosion of restaurants at Eastland hasn’t affected trade, with many opting for the more family-orientated establishments in Ringwood.
“We don’t think we have the best pizza in the world but we’re confident people don’t make pizzas like we do,” Mark said.
“We are in between a Napoli-style and traditional pizza — we’re not stingy on the toppings but get the correct balance.”
The siblings worked at other pizzas stores before opening Micheli’s and learnt some tricks from their Italian parents. They say it’s brought them closer working alongside each other every night, despite a few arguments along the way.
“We live local and love being part of the community. It’s all been positive,” Mark said.
The business is located at 21-25 Heatherdale Rd, Ringwood.
