FANCY winning Tattslotto when you get your next haircut?
That could happen to you if you visit Manfre’s Hairdressing in Wantirna Mall.
The salon doubles as a Tatts outlet and has sold two division-one-winning tickets this year.
A nanna from Wantirna scooped the $3 million first prize in last week’s Powerball draw.
The woman, who wanted to remain anonymous, said she was “overjoyed” because it meant she could help out her children and grandchildren.
“It’s come at a good time, I think this will help my kids pay off their mortgages and my grandchildren to put towards their first homes,” she said.
Salon owner Joe Manfre said he couldn’t be happier for her.
Mr Manfre said another lucky customer won $2 million in Tattslotto’s $30 million Megadraw on January 2.
“It’s good for business, good for the area, and good for Knox, we’ve having quite a few winners out this way,” Mr Manfre said.
He said running a hairdressing salon and selling Tatts tickets was unique, but had proven successful over the years. He said most people who popped in for a haircut also picked up a ticket.
Mr Manfre has been selling tickets since the early 1970s and said it was still incredibly popular.
The store is at 11 The Mall, Wantirna.
