Man found dead in Croydon in non-suspicious circumstances on Norton Rd near Town Park

A man has been found dead in tragic circumstances in Croydon after police were called to Norton Rd near Town Park.

Police are investigating the death of a man on Croydon’s Norton Rd this morning.

A man has been found dead near Croydon’s main park this morning.

Croydon police Sergeant Peter Turnbull said officers were called to the scene at 8am on Norton Rd.

3AW reported the man was found near a running track at Town Park and later reported it as a medical event.

Sgt Turnbull said the man died of natural causes and police were treating the cause of death as non-suspicious.

Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman Kate Murphy said an ambulance was called to the scene but paramedics did not treat anyone.

Sgt Turnbull said police were investigating the man’s death.
