Long delays on Sandringham, Lilydale and Belgrave lines
Commuters face a long trip home as separate incidents affect three metro train lines, with cars flooded after heavy rain at a station in Melbourne’s outer east.

The afternoon peak has been hit with disruptions across three train lines and commutes are being warned to expect long delays.
Services on the Belgrave and Lilydale line are terminating at Ringwood after a car hit a rail bridge.
Public Transport Victoria has announced that some services on both lines with be terminated immediately while the accident site is cleared.
Passengers are being advised to expect delays of at least 20 minutes.
Metro Trains has also announced delays on the Belgrave line due to flooding over tracks between Ferntree Gully - Upper Ferntree Gully.
Commuters have shared photos online of flooding at Ferntree Gully station, with water reaching up past cars’ tyres.
Meanwhile the Sandringham line is also experiencing 20 minute delays because of a police operation near Gardenvale.
Travellers have been told to listen for announcements and check displays for sudden changes to services.
