Lilydale crash: Elderly Croydon woman in taxi dies in hospital after Hull Road crash
Two elderly passengers in a taxi were injured after a crash in Lilydale, with a woman in her 80s later dying in hospital.

An elderly woman has died in hospital after the taxi she was a passenger in was involved in a collision in Lilydale.
Police have been told the taxi was travelling east on Hull Rd, approaching the intersection of Mooroolbark Rd, when a car turned in front of it, causing the collision about 1.20pm on Monday, August 8.
Two passengers in the taxi, an 89-year-old man and an 84-year-old woman, both from Croydon, were taken to hospital with what was believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
But police said sadly the woman later died in hospital as a result of her injuries.
The elderly man remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.
The driver of the taxi was uninjured.
The driver of the other car, a 27-year-old Mt Evelyn woman, stopped at the scene and helped police with their inquiries.
