UPDATE: Swimming lessons have restarted at a pool in Melbourne’s outer east after they were cancelled because the water was too cold.

On its Facebook page last week, Knox Leisureworks announced it was experiencing “some technical difficulties”, with its pool temperatures “slightly lower” than usual levels.

Swimming lessons were cancelled for several days as technicians worked to fix the problem.

Several people commented on the centre’s post noting the water temperature had been freezing during their children’s lessons before the decision was made to cancel them.

In the latest Facebook update on Tuesday, the centre said pool temperatures were back to normal and swimming lessons were resuming that afternoon.

The centre also said credits would be automatically applied to members’ accounts for any missed lessons.

Knox Leisureworks and Knox Council have been contacted for comment.
