Eagle-eyed fans spotted the popular 1000 Steps on the pop star’s Instagram page yesterday morning, with many rushing to try and get a glimpse of him at the popular fitness attraction.

Bieber also posted two photos on Instagram sitting and walking in bushland that looks similar to the Dandenong Ranges National Park, where the 1000 Steps are located.

On the Knox Leader Facebook page Danh Le said he saw him at the bottom of the steps before sunrise.

“Went to snap a photo and his security team stepped in so I thought I’d better put my phone away,” he wrote.

Mitch Piefke thought she had spotted him several times at Mountain Gate shops (in Ferntree Gully) this week, with several other guys in a “very swank car”.

Sarah Yoghurt said: “Well I just hope he took his rubbish home with him,” in reference to the recent littering issues at the steps.

Other fans lamented missing the superstar.

Bieber has now flown to Brisbane ahead of his concert there tonight.
