Gembrook: Tony Alessandro Volta has died after being trapped in a harvester
The man who died in tragic farm accident in Gembrook has been identified as a much-loved grandfather.

A beloved grandfather from Melbourne’s south east is being remembered as “the most hardworking man,” after a tragic accident involving heavy farming machinery.
“Tony” Alessandro Volta, 82, became trapped inside a harvester on a Ure Rd farm in Gembrook at 10am on Wednesday, June 29.
It is believed Mr Volta was working alone on the harvester in a paddock.
He was found unresponsive, before emergency services arrived.
Ambulance Victoria and the CFA worked with Victoria Police to remove Mr Volta’s body from the machine.
A police spokesperson said a report was being prepared for the Coroner.
A spokesperson from WorkSafe said they are investigating the incident.
Mr Volta’s death brings the workplace fatality told to 24 for 2022, six fewer than this time last year.
