Four teens charged over aggravated burglaries, car thefts in Melbourne’s southeast

Four teenagers have been charged after they allegedly broke into homes across Melbourne’s east and southeast and stole several cars.

Four people, including a 15-year-old boy, have been charged over a spate of aggravated burglaries and car thefts across the eastern and southeastern suburbs.

Officers arrested the man and three youths in an allegedly stolen car outside Berrima Court, Cranbourne about 12.25pm on March 17.

The group allegedly broke into homes and stole cars from Sassafras, Belgrave, Cranbourne, Narre Warren, Berwick, Malvern and Parkdale this month.

A 16-year-old boy has been charged with 14 aggravated burglaries and car thefts, 12 thefts from motor vehicles and six counts of aggravated offence of intentionally exposing an emergency worker to risk by driving.

He has been remanded in custody to appear at a children’s court at a later date.

An 18-year-old Pakenham man has been charged with three aggravated burglaries, two theft of motor vehicles, two theft from motor vehicles and handle stolen goods.

He has been remanded in custody and will appear at Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on March 18.

A 17-year-old girl has been charged with two theft of motor vehicles, driving offences and commit indictable offence while on bail.

She was remanded to appear at children’s court at a later date.

A 15-year-old boy has been charged with theft of motor vehicle and possess a drug of dependence believed to be cannabis.

He was bailed to appear at a children’s court at a later date.
