Giving someone a big bunch of flowers is one of the best ways to spread cheer and happiness, and a Melbourne florist is helping spread the love through random acts of kindness.
As part of International Happiness Day today, Flowers Across Melbourne is leaving random bouquets of flowers around the Yarra Valley.

Florists Michelle and Catie will be dropping off flowers for lucky passers-by at places including Hutch and Co in Lilydale, the Yarra Ranges Regional Museum and Lubra Bend Garden in Yarra Glen.
They will also go to Zonzo Estate in Yarra Glen and Immerse in Dixons Creek before making a special visit to Estia Health Aged Care in Yarra Junction to give them some flowers.
It’s part of the #lonelybouquet global initiative to “spread smiles — one flower at a time”.
It’s not the first time the online florist, owned by husband and wife Rob Lambert and Nadina Hughes, has spread the love.
They donate bouquets every week to deserving people via their program GIVR.
They also donate 10 per cent of proceeds of their most popular bouquet to a different local charity each month.
“Our business is built on giving, so we like to reflect that by giving back to the community and being socially responsible where we can,” Mr Lambert said.
Flowers Across Melbourne has just started delivering to Lilydale and has created a Yarra Valley Vacation hamper filled with preserves from the area.
