A creep with a ponytail, wearing nothing but purple underpants, who performed an offensive act in front of two young girls riding their bikes in Ferny Creek is wanted by police.
Knox sexual offences and child abuse detectives are investigating and believe a man inappropriately exposed himself to a pair of 10-year-old girls on the Ferny Creek Bike Trail near the Knox Regional Netball Centre about 4.15pm on Wednesday, August 12.
Victoria Police media adviser Zoe Walsh said the man is alleged the man stared at the two girls after appearing from behind a shelter wearing nothing but purple underwear.
Ms Walsh said he is believed to be aged between 30 and 40 years old, of average build, with brown hair in a ponytail, short beard and brown eyes.
She said at the time of the incident he was wearing all dark clothing with purple underwear.
Ms Walsh said the man police want to speak to was also seen riding a black bike and had a black and white bicycle helmet with him.
She said police had released a digital face image of a man they believe can help with their investigation and hope someone might recognise him or saw the incident happen.
Anyone who can identify the man or with any information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
