Croydon detectives arrest four people after ice found in Croydon and Bayswater North drug raids

Four people have been arrested after ice was allegedly discovered at homes and storage units in two separate police raids in the outer east.

Four people have been arrested after two separate drug raids, which uncovered ice in Croydon and Bayswater North.

Another dent has been made in Melbourne’s ice trade with police seizing quantities of the drug and making arrests in two early morning raids in Maroondah.

Croydon detective Senior Sergeant Jim Sutherland said officers raided a home in Rodleigh St, Croydon at 5am on Thursday, where they uncovered $3000 of the drug.

Three people, including a 38-year-old woman living at the home, a 45-year-old Coldstream man and a 26-year-old Dalyson woman were arrested.

Sen-Sgt Sutherland said the Croydon woman was charged with drug trafficking, while the Coldstream man and the Dalyston woman were charged with drug possession.

He said the Croydon woman would face Ringwood Magistrates’ Court on April 15, the Coldstream man would appear on February 5, and the Dalyston woman would be charged on summons.

Meanwhile, a Bayswater North man was busted in a separate raid on November 24 at 7.30am.

Sen-Sgt Sutherland said officers raided the home in Day Crescent and allegedly found a small quantity of ice, a taser and stolen property from two prior burglaries.

Officers then attended two storage facilities on Canterbury Rd, Bayswater North, and allegedly found more small amounts of the drug.

Sen-Sgt Sutherland said the 30-year-old man living at the home was charged with drug trafficking, handling stolen goods and possessing a prohibited weapon.

He was bailed to appear at the Ringwood Magistrates’ Court on April 9.
