Croydon crime: Teen charged after alleged attempted Niel St aggravated burglary
A teenager has been charged over allegedly breaking into a Croydon home.

Police have charged a 17-year-old Croydon teenager following a break-in at a suburban home.
The boy was pinned down by the residents of the Niel Street house after he woke the couple at 2am Friday morning.
The confrontation resulted in the teen allegedly threatening the couple with a kitchen knife, demanding phones and cash before being chased into the yard by another male occupant of the house.
The scuffle did not result in any injuries, and the 17-year-old was restrained until police arrived shortly afterwards.
The teen has been charged with armed robbery, aggravated burglary, possess drug of dependence and possess proceeds of crime.
He has been remanded to appear at a children’s court at a later date.
