The pup and his mate Dusty are just two of the cute pooches up for adoption at Coldstream Animal Aid’s Spring Celebration on September 24.

The Killara Rd shelter will open its doors for people to meet more than 20 cats and dogs up for adoption.

Welfare kennels operations manager Sally Miles said Petey and Dusty came to the shelter as strays in May, and bonded.

“It is so sweet the way Dusty watches Petey, you can really see he misses him when they aren’t together,” Ms Miles said.

Also up for adoption are Sirius the black border collie kelpie, Bear the shar pei, and 20 cats.

People can bring their fur babies to the event.
