Best pizza near me: Ferntree Gully’s Fat Chefs Pizzeria voted best in Knox

This Melbourne suburb has put to rest the age old question of whether pineapple is a worthy pizza topping.

The eternal debate on whether pineapple should go on a pizza has been decided by a popular Ferntree Gully restaurant.

The loyal local patrons that have made Fat Chef’s Pizzeria an institution in the outer eastern suburbs keep the Hawaiian at the top of its most sold menu item.

And for the team’s efforts the Station St restaurant has been voted the best pizza place in Knox.

Owner Hanna Haddad said without a doubt he supported pineapple on pizza.

“Ham and pineapple is the most delicious combination,” he said.

After nine years in the shop Mr Haddad said believes his loyal customers love the large variety of menu options, the fact they are open seven days a week and because the team make “the best pizza around”.

Mr Haddad is Knox local through and through having attended St Joseph’s College in Ferntree Gully.

And while the team is known for its amazing pizza’s, you can also order many other items which might take your tastebud fancy.

Mr Haddad said among the customers favourites was the chicken parmigiana.
