Acting Sen-Sgt Fox said officers believed the man was linked to a known drug syndicate operating in Melbourne’s west.

“The execution of today’s search warrant and subsequent seizure of plants will serve to create a significant dent in the illicit cannabis trade in the eastern suburbs,” he said.

“It will assist to disrupt a well-organised criminal syndicate responsible for the distribution of this insidious drug,” he said.
