A pedestrian has died after he was hit by a car in Woori Yallock on Wednesday night.
The 62-year-old Yellingbo man was hit by a car at the intersection of the Warburton Hwy and Healesville-Koo Wee Rup Rd at 6.30pm.
The man was treated at the scene by paramedics but could not be revived.
The driver of the car, a Yarra Junction man, was arrested at the scene and interviewed by police.
He has been released pending summons.
The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be determined and investigations remain ongoing.
