A shopping centre in Melbourne’s north is going retro this winter, offering shoppers the chance to win classic toys from the 1990s for some nostalgic fun.
Pacific Epping Shopping Centre will celebrate the iconic 90s with Throwback Festival, launching with a special event on June 17 and 18, inviting customers to indulge in an iconic journey down memory lane as the centre pays homage to the most cherished toys and characters of the 1990s.
From June 15 to July 16, shoppers at the centre will have a shot at scoring 90s-themed prizes, including Tamagotchis, Polly Pockets, Cabbage Patch Kids, Transformers and more, with a grand prize of $10,000 for one lucky entrant.
To be eligible for a prize, customers simply spend $30 at any participating retailers and take a turn at the ‘Spend, Play and Win’ giant gumball machine.
The Throwback Festival launch will include a meet and greet with the iconic Care Bears characters and tasty fairy floss giveaways.
Pacific Epping Centre manager Olga Lekovic said she couldn’t wait to see shoppers immerse themselves in the throwback extravaganza.
“It's a chance to relive cherished memories, introduce a new generation to classic toys and characters, and celebrate everything that made the 90s so special,” she said.
Find your chance for a shot at a prize at the gumball machine in front of the Swarvoski store and check out the Throwback festival activities in front of Woolworths and at the indoor playground from 11am on June 17 and 18.
