A motorcyclist with fake number plates is wanted by police after he evaded officers while riding with a young child on the back of his bike in Preston.

A motorcyclist with fake number plates has evaded police while riding with a young child on the back of his bike in Preston.
Police have released an image of a man they wish to speak to after a rider failed to stop for officers while travelling along Murray Rd about 3.35pm on March 9.
Police spokeswoman Kelly Grindley said both the rider and young passenger were wearing helmets but no other safety clothing, and the motorbike had false plates displayed.
“Police attempted to intercept the motorcycle, however, the rider failed to stop for police and accelerated at a fast rate of speed,” she said.
“The rider was then observed driving onto oncoming traffic.”
The bike was last seen driving south along Chifley Drive in Preston.
Police have released an image of a man they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.
He is described as caucasian, about 185cm tall with short brown hair and a beard.

He was wearing grey Nike tracksuit pants, a blue motorsports-branded spray jacket and a black and white helmet.
