Renowned chiropractor fronts court over alleged sexual acts

A Melbourne chiropractor accused of raping and sexually assaulting female clients during consulatations will next week learn whether he will face trial.
Dr Ian Maxwell Deitch, the former director of Chirolife in Rosanna, is facing nine charges of sexual assault including three counts of rape.
His case was adjourned by the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Tuesday for a committal hearing starting on March 18.
The court heard during the 58-year-old’s previous appearance in August last year that he would contest the charges, which relate to three women.
Dr Deitch allegedly sexually assaulted the women between 2013 and 2021.
His lawyer has applied to cross examine the complainants and a witness who was present when an allegation against Dr Deitch was made.
Dr Deitch is accused of digitally penetrating women and touching their vaginas without consent.
Charge sheets state the chiropractor also allegedly touched a woman’s breast and nipples, rubbed his clothed erect penis on her head and kissed her without consent.
Dr Deitch currently owns and operates Markwell Nutrition which sells magnesium supplement Colozone Plus.
