If you’ve ever wanted to dunk a school principal in a water tank, this school fete could be right up your alley.
Preston South Primary School will hold a school fete on October 26, with live bands, auctions, rides, reptiles, crafting and the famed dunk tank.
The fete will be aiming to raise money to go towards the school’s $100,000 goal to build new inclusive play equipment.
Principal Leon Leonidas said if they raised $800, he would bite the bullet and get dunked.
“I’m very nervous,” he said.
The fete is the first since fire ripped through the school in 2009.
The fire destroyed half of the buildings and almost caused the school’s closure.
“The enrolment numbers went down and the community fought really hard to keep it open,” Mr Leonidas said.

Mr Leonidas said students had been getting hands on with the preparations, including helping make signage and planting lots of plants.
He said the fete could never have become a reality without the help of all the hardworking parents.
The fete will run between 11am to 4pm. Entry is free.
