Punters are gearing up for one of Victoria’s most iconic country racing events coming back to life this Australia Day.

Set against the backdrop of the Macedon Ranges, the Hanging Rock Cup will be held at Hanging Rock Racecourse on Sunday.

The winners will take home a total prize pool of $30,000.

Punters can expect thrilling races, live music and delicious food trucks.

With temperatures predicted to touch a high of 25C — it’s the perfect day to dress up and head to the races.
