A pharmacist accused of supplying steroids to organised crime groups has faced court.
Antoine Yacoub, 40, was arrested at his Essendon clinic in April this year and charged with a string of fraud and drug trafficking offences.
He was charged with multiple counts of forgery, obtaining drugs by false representation, possessing prescription medication and unauthorised retailing of poisons or controlled substances, trafficking a drug of dependence, trafficking anabolic steroids and trafficking testosterone.
On Thursday, Mr Yacoub appeared by video at Broadmeadows Magistrates’ Court.
His lawyer Thea Milides said more time was needed for them to be served with a full brief.
Mr Yacoub’s bail was extended and he will return to court on February 22, 2024.
