Very recently, the highest-ranking Catholic priest, Cardinal George Pell, has been convicted of sexual abuse which mars the reputation and strength of the Catholic Church.
The church authorities have the responsibility to revive the public trust.
In order to get the Catholic Church out of this mess, the causes have to be addressed, too.
The only solution to this problem is to allow the priests to get married, so that priests will not abuse their authority in the church and destroy the lives of the people to extinguish the fire of sex, which is natural.
