A taste of the deep south well and truly came to Flemington on Saturday as thousands of punters from around Victoria packed Melbourne Showgrounds for the Meatstock Festival.
Indeed, Meatstock is a mecca for anyone who loves a BBQ, with stacks of cooking displays and food trucks serving up slow cooked and wood-fired delights.
Sweet toothes weren’t forgotten about either with a dedicated desert space serving up doughnuts, ice creams and more.
But there was much more than ace food on offer – punters could also watch heats of the Australian Strong-Man competition, bull riding, kick back with a beer and listen to country music, get inked by a tattoo artist, check out classic cars and trucks or even have a go at axe throwing.
Leader headed on down on Saturday to soak up the action – see if you and your mates made our big gallery of social snaps.
