Police and family members are appealing for any information concerning the whereabouts of Mason Charles, who was last seen in Epping on Thursday evening.
Mason, who is 13 and a student at Marymede Catholic College in South Morang, was seen leaving the family home shortly before 6pm, when their parents were out at the younger sister’s swimming lessons.
Mason, who has a history of mental health issues, was last seen on Davis St, Epping.
Father Steven Foster said the family was worried about Mason’s safety.
“Everyone’s worried, and loves them, and wants them home,” Mr Foster said.
Mason’s mother, Kirrilly Charles, said: “Mason if you see this you are loved, you are valued and you matter.”
“You have left a massive hole in the family and we all miss you more than I can explain.
“Please if you read this just come home or let us know you are OK, we love you so much.”
Mr Foster said police were notified of Mason’s disappearance shortly after 6pm on Thursday when the family returned home from the swimming lessons.
Mr Foster said students at Marymede Catholic College had reported seeing Mason at Highpoint Shopping Centre in Maribyrnong on Sunday, but this was yet to be confirmed by police.
The family said there were no obvious destinations Mason would have travelled to.
Mason is about 157cm, with auburn hair and blue eyes.
