She has the weight of the world on her shoulders, and Amber Fielder couldn’t be happier. Now, the young weightlifting star has the Olympic Games in her sights.

How old were you when you took up your sport?
I was 11 years old.
How did you get involved in this sport?
I started out doing CrossFit and decided to branch out and enter into competitive weightlifting.
What has been your biggest success?
I was the 2018 Australian under-15 champion in the 58kg category. I also qualified for the Australian team to compete at the 2019 Oceania Youth Championship/Pacific Games in July.
Describe your training routine
I train six days a week at a high intensity, mixing weightlifting specifics and CrossFit.
What do you love most about your sport?
You set your own goals and push yourself.
What is your ultimate sporting goal?
To participate in the Commonwealth Games and the Olympic Games.

Rebeka Koha (weightlifting), Sara Sigmundsdóttir (CrossFit athlete)

Do you have anything else you’d like to add about your career?
After winning the 2018 Australian under-15 championship and also the Diamond Valley Leader Junior Sports Star winner for 2018, I set my sights on international competition and that is now a reality.
