The Ashburton woman fronted tcourt on Wednesday, August 26, facing a huge number of charges for crimes spanning from 2016 to March 2020.
The court heard Meadows allegedly walked into Box Hill’s Epworth Eastern hospital on April 15, 2019, and distracted the receptionist before putting an ANZAC donation box and fundraising badges in her bag.
Four days later police allegedly found her parked in a stolen car with number plates that had been modified using tape outside Chadstone’s Matthew Flinders Hotel about 1.29am.
Police parked behind the car with their lights on, and walked up to the driver door.

She allegedly then went on to raid a Carnegie home where a 24th birthday party was happening on the afternoon of January 11, stealing handbags and using the stolen credit cards.
Meadows also allegedly went to a Richmond doctor’s clinic and distracted the receptionist before stealing the woman’s purse on February 11.

Lawyer David De Witt applied for Meadows to be granted bail so she could have the matters heard before the Assessment and Referral Court.
He provided a psychology report stating the 46-year-old suffered from borderline personality disorder, substance abuse, PTSD, depression and anxiety and said she had an acquired brain injury and low IQ.
Meadows was granted bail so she could go to the ARC court.
