A former Craigieburn-based primary school IT specialist who groomed multiple children to perform sex acts via the internet which he then recorded has been jailed.

Jake Mokdissi, 24, was sentenced in the County Court on Monday to a minimum three years and three months jail after pleading guilty to charges including 15 counts of using a service to engage in a sexual activity with a child under 16.

Mokdissi, from Lalor, hunted, groomed and made various children perform lewd acts via Omegle and Snapchat between November 2019 and January last year.

The fiend targeted mostly schoolgirls aged 13-15 during his prolonged and depraved offending.

Mokdissi forced his victims to commit lewd acts for his personal sexual gratification.

The sicko also sent lewd messages to his victims.

Mokdissi then pleasured himself in front of his victims.

Mokdissi also said to a victim aged 14 or 15 that it was “good enough for me” when told her true age.

Mokdissi watched as one victim performed lewd acts while wearing her school uniform.

He also told various other victims that “he didn’t care” they were too young.

One girl hit back at Mokdissi when she said she was too young.

“Well I care,” the girl said.

Another victim told Mokdissi they didn't want to get caught but he told them “don’t worry”.

Mokdissi used his IT skills to record his victims without their knowledge via software FlashBack Pro 5.

The grub then threatened to leak the videos online if his victims didn’t perform more lewd acts.

An undercover cop posing as a teenage girl communicated with Mokdissi.

Mokdissi told the cop he would pay for her internet data in exchange for performing lewd acts.

Police arrested and charged Mokdissi in January last year.

Investigators seized various devices which contained vile child abuse material including 13 FlashBack recordings of his victims.

The videos had lewd titles including “Untitled 14”.

Police also found evidence Mokdissi had messaged other underage girls.

Mokdissi asked a victim if she wanted to be “friends with benefits”.

The court heard Mokdissi had worked as an IT specialist at a primary school for six years after completing a Chisholm Tafe qualification.

Mokdissi also volunteered to help with the Craigieburn school’s human powered vehicle program.

The court was told Mokdissi left his job after he was charged but his employer “reached out” and was “supportive” until he lost his working with children check.

Mokdissi also received various references from friends and family.

The court also heard Mokdissi volunteered for a local basketball competition.

Judge Howard Mason said.

Mokdissi, who was made a registered sex offender for life, was jailed for a maximum five years and six months for his Commonwealth offences.
