A Craigieburn man has become the latest northern suburbs resident to join the ranks of millionaires after winning a life-changing lottery.

A Craigieburn man has become the latest northern suburbs resident to join the ranks of millionaires after winning a life-changing lottery.

The man, who wished to remain anonymous, won $1.2m in the weekend’s Tattslotto draw.

He held one of the four division one winning entries nationally in Tattslotto draw 4511, drawn on Saturday.

So far in 2024, there have been 31 lottery wins in Melbourne’s north, with residents collectively taking home more than $38m in prize money.

The now millionaire, who is nearing retirement age, said he had been playing the same numbers for more than 20 years and couldn’t believe the numbers “finally came up”.

”I am on cloud nine,” he said.

“The numbers consist of birthdates and anniversary dates … I checked the ticket on Saturday night and was in complete shock.

“I haven’t had any sleep for two whole nights, but it’s a good feeling.”

The man, who is “not too far off retirement” said his new millions would be a “great boost,” and would allow his family and him to “sit back and live the life” they want.

“Family is our priority, and we’ll be helping them out with this prize,” he said.

“We will squeeze in a fun holiday too.”

Craigieburn Lotto manager Rose Irgat said the winning moment was “electrifying”.

“It’s nice knowing $1.2m has gone to someone in our community and we were a part of their dream coming true,” she said.

“We often see familiar faces come through, all beaming with hope, and it’s very likely our winner was one of them.”

The winning numbers in Tattslotto draw 4511 on 12 October 2024 were 8, 2, 21, 45, 10 and 28, while the supplementary numbers were 27 and 30.

Across Australia, there were four division one winning entries in Tattslotto draw 4511 – two in Victoria and one each in NSW and Western Australia.
