THE first cafe to be accredited by Coeliac Australia as entirely gluten-free is on the lookout for connoisseurs to help pick out the best beer.
Brunswick’s Cafe Henkel is asking for amber experts to take part in a taste test and select the best gluten-free beers on the market to stock in the cafe.
Owner Maria Stamelos said price variances and a lack of choice hurt coeliac beer drinkers.
“Small pleasures like drinking beer that most people take for granted are not readily available to those who are gluten intolerant or have Coeliac disease,” she said.
The cafe is taking expressions of interest for the taste testing, to register phone 9381 0099.
