Boy, 15, taken to hospital after hit by car while cycling in South Morang

A teenager has been rushed to hospital after he was hit by a car while cycling in South Morang, with police appealing for anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.

A teenager was rushed to hospital after he was hit by a car while cycling in South Morang on Thursday.

The 15-year-old Mill Park boy was crossing Plenty Rd on his bicycle when he was struck by a white Ford Focus just after 4.30pm.

The driver of the Ford, a Mernda woman, 48, stopped at the scene and has spoken with police.

The teenager was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police have appealed for any witnesses or motorists with dashcam footage to come forward.

Not charges have been laid yet.
