A Melbourne teen is suspected of pulling a shotgun during an alleged armed robbery for an iPhone, a designer bumbag and $40.
Izaia Atkinson, 19, fronted Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Thursday charged with multiple offences including armed robbery and car theft.
Atkinson is accused of arming himself with a shotgun on March 6 this year when he is alleged to have stolen $40 cash, an iPhone and a Louis Vuitton satchel bag during the suspected armed robbery.
Atkinson also nicked a $40,000 Mercedes Benz E350 from Epping on March 6, investigators alleged.
Atkinson, who was also charged with dangerous driving, popped back on the police radar after he was allegedly caught driving an $85,000 Land Rover Discovery at “excessive speed” through Thomastown on March 12.
Police alleged Atkinson, who was also charged with unlicensed driving, motored the suspected stolen vehicle through “high density residential areas”.

Atkinson, who was accused of pinching the Land Rover earlier on March 12, also allegedly drove at dangerous speeds through Bundoora.
Police alleged Atkinson placed community members “in danger of serious injury” and put the public’s safety “at risk”.
Specialist armed police took down and charged Atkinson on March 12.
The teen was initially remanded in custody but was later set free into the community following a successful bail application.
Atkinson, of Thomastown, will front court at a later date.
