Police have identified the motorcyclist who died after smashing into a tree on a busy main road in Thomastown.

A 46-year-old Broadford man died after his motorbike struck a tree in Thomastown on Wednesday night.
Emergency services were called to Edgars Rd about 10.05pm, September 7, after reports a motorbike had crashed into a tree.
Police began CPR on the man until ambulance arrived, but unfortunately he died at the scene.
The exact circumstances surrounding the crash are unknown and an investigation is ongoing.
