POPULAR fashion giant Uniqlo has announced Highpoint Shopping Centre will be the home of its newest Australian store.
The Japanese label has announced its plans to open in the Maribyrnong centre this summer and has already started advertising job opportunities.

Highpoint’s regional general manager Rachel Duggan said the arrival of Uniqlo was the latest leading retailer to be attracted to the centre, following he likes of Apple, Zara and Samsung.
“We are delighted Uniqlo is the latest global retail brand to choose Highpoint Shopping Centre as the next location in its Australian expansion,” Ms Duggan said.
“The entry of Uniqlo supports Highpoint Shopping Centre’s position as the place to shop in Melbourne’s west.”

Uniqlo will sit alongside other global and Australian brands in the centre’s premium fashion strip on level three.
The 867sq m store will be the 13th in Australia, the fourth in Victoria and is expected to create more than 100 jobs.
Top brands to expand to suburban, mid-tier shopping centres
Uniqlo’s announcement comes as Highpoint prepares for its Shopping Day on Wednesday, September 27, which will include hundreds of exclusive one day offers and special events from 9am to 11pm.
Some of the highlights of the day will include a stand serving glittery taiyaki cones, a mini golf course, the Chamber of Colour where customers can animate a butterfly flying as part of an interactive installation, face painting, and a competition for customers to have the chance to win $200 by sharing their best fashion moments.
The Shopping Day offers will be revealed on Tuesday, September 26 on the Highpoint website, highpoint.com.au
