St Brendan’s Primary School class wins once-in-a-lifetime show trip
A very lucky group of grade three and four students from St Brendan’s Primary School were given a sneak peak at the Royal Melbourne Show before all the action kicked off. And it was all thanks to their teacher and a lucky phone call.

A group of lucky students’ wildest dreams came true after their teacher won them access to the Royal Melbourne Show before the masses.
The fortunate youngsters were granted access to the showgrounds on Friday, September 20 to experience all the rides and animals before the show kicked off the next day.
The once-in-a-lifetime opportunity came after their teacher, Antoinette Scerri, entered a competition to win the experience through radio station KIIS 101.1’s breakfast show with Jase and PJ.
The teacher, from St Brendan’s Primary School, in Flemington answered the winning call in the middle of teaching her grade three and four class.

Ms Scerri couldn’t hold in her excitement during the call.
“You guys rock, oh wow,” she said on the call.
“It’s just beautiful, they’re going to love it.”
The teacher said it was “such a cool opportunity” and was a fantastic way to finish off the school term.
The lucky group of grade three and four students made sure they took advantage of the special opportunity and came away with plenty of showbags.
