Christmas will bring different sections of the community together during the annual combined churches Macedon Ranges Toy Shop.
The toy shop helps families who might struggle to buy a Christmas gift.
Event organiser Georgina Harvey said she was looking for donations. “Families aren’t just handed something, it’s giving families back the dignity of choosing something for their child,” she said.

Ms Harvey said gifts needed to be new and valued about $20 for children aged up to 18. Stocking fillers, plush toys and books were also welcome.
Ms Harvey suggested gifts like sporting equipment, makeup, watches, perfume, tool sets or headphones for older children.
Donations can be dropped off at Cobaw Community Health, or arrange pick up through Georgina Harvey on 0404 442 891. Donations will be accepted until December 12.
The toy show is just one group looking to get into the holiday spirit early.
Careworks in Sunbury is and its volunteers have been hard at work putting together Christmas hampers.
Careworks manager Michael Austin said the holiday season could be stressful.
“We have established a Christmas hamper program to give food to our clients at this very special but sometimes financially stressful time of year,” he said.
Mr Austin said hampers were distributed primarily to clients, but also to local schools, clients on the Sunbury Police Community Register, a hostel and a mental health facility.
Last year, Careworks gave out 300 bags of goodies to more than 200 families.
An increase in demand could see the group pass out even more this year, so it’s calling on members of the community to help out.
A collection box is located in Sunbury Square in the lead-up to Christmas. Donations are accepted at Careworks, 34 Macedon St, Sunbury, on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10am and 3pm. For more information, phone 9740 5061.
