Teachers struggling with the adjustment of remote learning have a new resource to turn to, as a Roxburgh Park educator has created an online hub.

Former deputy Principal Naz Zengin set up a Facebook group for educators in Victoria as a way to support each other through remote teaching.

She said she created the group after seeing so many of her colleagues stress about remote teaching and learning.

“I set up the group a month ago as a place for teachers to share resources, ideas and have discussions,” Ms Zengin said.

“The support and collaboration in there is fantastic.”

Ms Zengin said she found adjusting to remote teaching challenging at first.

“It was very tricky in the first week, but collaborating with other teachers has made it a lot easier,” she said.

“We have also started running live zoom meet sessions for teachers to collaborate, to further support them.”

The group has garnered more than 7500 members.

Educators share and collaborate on resources in the group, such as Youtube videos they’ve created and worksheets.

There are guests speakers who to share their insights, with two zoom webinars already completed.

A third talk is happening on May 7 at 7pm on student wellbeing.

The group is closed but Ms Zengin encourages all educators to join.
