A Melbourne construction company boss allegedly nabbed with drugs, roids and guns at his family home will be dobbed in by his fiance if he messes up while on bail.

Sam Magro, 41, fronted Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday charged with trafficking a commercial quantity of drugs.

Cops pounced on Magro after raiding the father of three’s Mickleham home on May 14 this year.

Magro, who was also charged with trafficking testosterone, allegedly told police they would find “steroids and a sawn-off shotgun in the garage”, the court was told.

Police searched Magro’s home and allegedly seized two homemade “slam fire” shotguns and a sawn-off double-barrel shotgun stashed in unlocked cupboards.

The court heard the guns were sent to ballistics for analysis.

It’s also alleged police seized testosterone, vials of anabolic steroids, syringes, Viagra, a sword and mail packages addressed to Magro and “believed to have been from overseas”.

Investigators also allegedly seized $8000 cash bundled into $1000 wads and 260 grams of cocaine divided up in ziplock bags.

Police also allegedly seized 16L of GHB-mirror drug 1,4 Butanediol stashed in the garage.

Magro, who was charged with trafficking cocaine and gun possession, was also allegedly caught with ketamine and ecstasy.

Magro, who was also charged with trafficking MDMA and ketamine and dealing with property suspected of being the proceeds of crime, was arrested, charged and remanded in custody.

Melbourne Divisional Response Unit Senior Constable Max Collins told the court police allegedly found Magro’s phone hidden in a dog a kennel in the backyard.

The court heard investigators examined Magro’s phone messages and discovered “discussions” related to “selling drugs”.

Senior Constable Collins also said police discovered evidence which suggested Magro allegedly purchased drugs from China.

Senior Constable Collins also said there was evidence which alleged Magro had been trafficking drugs for “some time”.

The court heard Magro, who appeared at court via videolink for a bail application, runs an earthwork construction company.

Magro’s partner told the court she promised to drop a dime on her fiance if he was 10 minutes “past curfew”.

“I’d be more than happy to respect the law and any instructions if Sam was not home in ten minutes,” she said.

“I would be more than happy to make the phone call and inform the informant of Sam’s whereabouts.”

Magro’s partner also told court she has witnessed her fiance use drugs at the family home.

Magro, who was granted bail with conditions including a $40,000 surety and he engage in a drug treatment program, will face court at a later date.
