Melton stabbing: Two men rushed to hospital with serious injuries

Two men were stabbed at a bar in Melton on Wednesday with one suffering serious injuries to his head and another to his upper body.

Police are appealing for information after two men were stabbed at a bar in Melton on Wednesday evening.

Emergency services rushed to the Smith Street scene just before 6.45pm on December 22.

Two men in their 30s had serious injuries.

One man had a wound to his head while the other suffered serious injuries to his upper body, according to an Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman.

“Both were taken to Royal Melbourne Hospital in a stable conditions,” she said.

Detectives from the Melton Crime Investigation Unit are investigating the incident but say no charges have been laid.

“The exact circumstances of the incident are unknown and the investigation is ongoing,” a Victoria Police spokeswoman said.

“Anyone who witnessed the stabbing or with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
