Melbourne traffic: car crashes in Essendon and Broadmeadows

It was hectic day on Melbourne’s roads with crashes causing traffic chaos across the north western suburbs.

It has been a busy day on the roads in Melbourne’s northwest after two crashes within 7km of each other caused traffic chaos.

Paramedics attended a rollover in Broadmeadows at 10.40am.

Ambulance Victoria arrived on scene with three lanes on the M80 Ring Road heading towards Greensborough impacted just before Pascoe Vale Rd as traffic was slowed with only the left lane open.

“No emergency treatment or transport was required,” the spokesman said.

Meanwhile, a car ploughed into a tree on a roundabout on Woodland St in Essendon as residents watched on.

No injuries were reported.
